Clare Elich & Friends

When kindred spirits get together musically - magic can happen! A mutual friend introduced Clare Elich and Shayne Floyd in the fall of 2017. They got together for an informal jam and found out right away that "wow, we pretty much listen to all the same music (Tim O'Brien, Sara Jarosz, Mandolin Orange - to name a few), and our voices blend nicely on these tunes." Clare plays banjo and sings (her degree in Vocal Performance from CofC is just one indicator of her amazing talent). Shayne has been playing guitar and singing around Charleston since 1999 when he helped form the band YeeHaw Junction, and later his own bluegrass band - River Boy.  Clare and Shayne quickly recruited Tom DeLorge to bolster their instrument section. Tom focuses on Dobro and Mandolin with this unit, but can also play banjo and guitar as needed. In addition to a killer list of cover tunes, these guys are rolling out a number of original songs that audiences are responding really well too. Most importantly, they love what they do, and you will see it on their faces when they perform for you!
